Who are these circles for?

The Work Smarter Circles are for people in business who are serious about getting the most from the time and energy they devote to their work. Connecting people from across the business spectrum, these circles provide a supportive group for participants to develop greater effectiveness in their roles.

The Work Smarter Circle is made for you if you recognize some or all of these: if you’re doing fine work-wise, but feel you could and should be doing better, like you need to be getting more from the time you invest, that you have occasional glimpses of great work but it’s not sustained, sometimes frustrated by lack of progress and find yourself putting off things you should be doing.

 

How do participants benefit?

The primary focus of a Work Smarter circle is to enable the participants to be more effective in the work that they do, no matter what that role is. The group acts like a personal board of advisors, providing invaluable support and challenge as new concepts and techniques are explored for each person’s individual situation.

Participants also benefit from one-to-one interaction with the facilitator as well as others in the group. Over the course of the nine months, each person builds their own ‘effectiveness blueprint’ which can have a significant impact on the outcome of their work.

 

What areas of learning are covered?

Each group has a customized programme of learning depending on the unique needs of each participant. Many fascinating areas are explored, all with the aim of working ‘smarter’.

Challenges that are addressed in this circle include getting the best use of your valuable time, bringing clarity to your purpose and focus, managing your limited energy effectively, getting on top of your work-flow and conquering ‘resistance’ to challenging and new work.

 

How does it actually work?

The group, of up to 10 people, commits to a programme of learning over the course of nine/ten months, meeting regularly for a total of nine times for three-hour sessions. Work continues in between the sessions reviewing thought-provoking ideas and concepts, while interacting with the facilitator and the other group members.
